FSFC Mission Statement

Free Speech for Campus is a grass-roots movement that brings together concerned citizens of Wisconsin to promote and protect free speech on our college campuses. Our vision is to provide a state-wide network of advocates who can offer moral support, provide financial assistance, drive media attention, and help coordinate legal representation for students and faculty members who find themselves persecuted by campus speech codes, harassed by bias response teams, and denied due process, their rights to speech, association, or assembly by other students, faculty, or administrators.

Free Speech for Campus seeks to defend the essential educational values of free speech and diversity of thought in higher education. We will seek reforms that mandate tolerance, training, and codified institutional commitment to diversity of world view and intellectual freedom. We will promote the freedom to dissent from, argue against, and advocate for intellectual and political ideas that challenge campus pieties. We will work against the prevailing political orthodoxies that threaten genuine education on America’s campuses. We will do so regardless of the political positions, religious views, or world-view perspectives of those under assault.
